I love Facebook reason #103: You are just a few friends away from conceivably anybody in the world. I popped open my Facebook page the other day and saw on my wall a picture that my cousin in China gave a thumbs up on. I then did a double take because the name sounded familiar. Indeed, it was a picture of Kupono, a contestant on this season’s So You Think You Can Dance. I flipped through his Facebook photo album and came across this picture:

People dressed up in costume posing with paper-rock-scissors hands? JACKPOT!! I had to send Kupono a message via Facebook asking whether it’s possible to post this picture on the blog, and was extremely surprised when he replied a day later and graciously said yes.

Kupono, whose full name is Kuponohi’ipoi K. Aweau (try saying that five times in a row as fast as you can!), is the bottom right one wearing the Indian headress. Not only is Kupono a great dancer, he is also a major hottie and one of the few guys I know who can wear dark eyeshadow and do the “smoky eyes” look FIERCER than any girl I know! ;)

Fun factoid: For those of you who watch the show, the “girl” in the blue wig is none other than Season 4’s Mark Kanemura. Talk about getting into character!

Photo Of The Day – 7/1/09

Back by popular demand….it’s Veronica Esquivel!

We met up for the first time today for a breakfast meeting and she decided to pose with “rock” hands this time around. I’ll have to meet up with her again in the near future so I can take a third picture with “paper” hands, and THEN I’ll have the complete Veronica PRS set! Veronica also suggested that for the Pimple Popper iPhone game, I should have a similar blog and have pretty girls in pink doing the pimple posing pose – she calls them the Pretty Pink Pimple Poppers. I’ll have to reserve that URL today before someone snatches it up! Some fun facts about Veronica: She loves turtles, plays videogames (her favorite console is the Wii), and is planning to dress up as Veronica from the Archie Comics in the upcoming Comic-Con show while her friend (a blond) will dress up as Betty.

The fact that Veronica is a gamer AND she has tickets to Comic-Con? Boys, you’ll have to take a number because the line is already out the door. :)

Photo Of The Day – 6/26/09

This is Veronica Esquivel, an advisor for The Art Institute of California who reached out to me through Linkedin when she found the Room Candy Games site. Of course, when I saw this profile picture of her on Facebook, I just started cracking up because she mentioned in her first e-mail that she thought about a pimple popping game before she found the site (which by the way had the Pimple Popper iPhone game info), but now here she is posing with paper-rock-scissors hands even before she knows anything about StripPRS – it’s like a Twilight Zone moment! Anyway, I just had to post her picture because a) Veronica’s a hottie and b) Veronica’s super cool. You can’t really see her face in that earlier picture, so here is another beautiful shot of her.

It’s not wonder she works at The Art Institute because her face is also a living piece of art! Thanks again for sharing your pics with us, Veronica. :)
